Our 31st AGM was a delightful occasion again this year attended by around 90 members.  We kept the business to those items necessary for members’ information with time for comments from the floor.  Jennie Rayment, our speaker, judged the 20 entries for the Chairman’s Challenge and the winner of the trophy was Moira Bagnall, and joint second were Linda Turner and Gill Hamilton who each received copies of Jennie’s latest book.

The afternoon talk kept us all on the edge of our chairs as Jennie recounted some of her adventures as a much travelled quilt teacher and TV performer.  We laughed ’til our sides ached as she performed her, very tasteful, ‘Strip, Show & Tell’.

Our own ‘Show and Tell’ brought forth a wonderful array of skillfully made items and the Raffle caused more fun so that members went home with smiles on their faces declaring that this was the most enjoyable AGM yet!

Jennie’s Sunday workshop was another hugh success and all went  home with a completed nine-patch.

PAT Testing

More venues are requiring all machines to have a current PAT test.
